Washington Senator: Don Blasingame

This 1965 issue finds Blasingame near the end of an undistinguished career. He was only league average once in his career, and that was for a grand total of two games….though he was a middle infielder and his OPS+s may have been right around the average for a second baseman then. I don’t have a baseline – he seemed to do a few things well, though. He had a decent glove, and he could run. I’ve heard his name dropped a few times, as well, so he couldn’t have been too bad.
