Yes, that Kenny Williams.

Category: Former Expo
Bio/Summary: Kenny Williams is a lot better known for being the White Sox GM these days, but once upon a time he was a struggling fringe outfielder with a 66 career OPS+. He was one of those guys who had a seemingly solid rookie season (.281, 11 HR, 21 SB) but that was betrayed by some lousy peripherals (.314 OBP, .422 SLG). His career went into a predictable descent after that, and this card represents his last year of playing in the majors. I’d love to take a shot at figuring out where he’s playing here, and I’d guess it’s Pittsburgh with the turf. He only played two games in Pittsburgh that year, July 5th and September 27th. Given the lighting and the angle he’s playing the ball (he was in RF for July, LF for Sept), my guess would be that this is the July 5th game.
How Did I Get it?: Lost to the winds of time.
Did You Know?: Kenny was the top return man for the Stanford football team.
Card Rating: 3/10 -Subpar photograph, awful design.
